  Is there a dress code in Shoshoni Schools?

  We expect our students to dress in a manner that shows respect for the educational system. All students must wear clean clothing, taking into account health and safety codes. When students travel to and from school activities, we expect them to represent us well by dressing up. Please read more about our student dress code in the student handbook.

  What is the protocol when visiting Shoshoni Schools?

  All visitors and parents must sign in at the secondary or elementary office when they come into Shoshoni Schools for any reason. Visitors will receive a visitor’s pass that will entitle them to be in the building. We appreciate your cooperation to keep our students safe at all times.

  What is the procedure for tardiness?

  We expect our students to arrive on time to class. Tardiness nearly always causes a student to miss important instruction and always disrupts the learning of other students. If a student is tardy to school, he/she must bring an excuse to the school secretary stating the reasons for that tardiness. Unfortunately, we cannot accept all excuses.

  Is it possible for a student in the junior high school to take high school courses?

  Teachers may recommend junior high students take a higher level course traditionally offered to only high school students. In this circumstance, the student may also be enrolled in a HS elective in order to fill his/her schedule. The course(s) will be reflected on the high school transcript and can possibly count toward meeting Hathaway requirements. Please see your guidance counselor for more information.

  What can I do to help my child succeed in school?

  We encourage you to take part in your child's education. There are opportunities for you to be active at the school in the following capacities:

  • Class parties

  • Chaperone class/field trips

  • Chaperone dances

  • Participate on committees

  • Concessions at extra curricular activities
